Roberto GILARDINO

Roberto GILARDINO was born in Turin. He joined CROCE & Associés SA as a counsel in 2015.

Roberto GILARDINO manages our Shanghai office. He is also a Regional Partner with Horizons Group (www.horizons-advisory.com), an advisory firm working with domestic and multinational businesses through its offices in China, Russia, the Middle East and Europe.

After completing a language and literature degree, Roberto GILARDINO studied business law at BPP Law School (London), the China University of Political Science and Law and Harvard University (1994-1996).

He worked in the legal department of China Aerospace Science & Industry Corporation (CASIC) in Beijing for 11 years (1994-2005) before becoming Executive Director of Ruiheng (Shanghai) Consulting Co Ltd, a strategy and business development consultancy, until 2014. For 18 years, he was also majority shareholder of a Turin-based consulting company (China Consultant Srl) advising European companies interested in the Chinese market.

Roberto GILARDINO has over 20 years’ experience in Asia and an excellent knowledge of the Chinese public sector. He mainly works in the areas of M&A, joint ventures, company law (corporate governance, market analysis, head office relocation, branch and subsidiary openings, international restructuring and development, legal due diligence, risk assessment and management, shareholders’ agreements, corporate taxation, competition, employment law and intellectual property) and international contracts.

Roberto GILARDINO speaks fluent Italian, Mandarin, English and Japanese.
